Cyan Studios started out as a photographic studio, providing many of the
UK’s leading furniture manufacturers with design led interior and product
photography to showcase and market their products from.

In addition to our photographic services we offer an in-house image
manipulation department which includes Computer Generated Imagery (CGI).

With CGI anything is possible….we start by building a 3D model on the
computer then add textures and lighting to create the illusion of a real life
photograph. Cyan’s expertise of photographic lighting really comes into its
own when understanding how to create a photorealistic 3D image.

Cyan’s interior designer’s approach the look of a CGI image in the exact same
manner as we do a room-set photograph. After discussing the brief with you
we set upon creating a mood board prior to the image being created on the
computer. Our expertise in lighting then ensures we can make the image look
real.

CGI is the perfect solution when you want a quality image but cannot get hold
of the actual product (or it may not exist yet!). In many instances we have found
that mixing photography with CGI can create very natural results.
